Rust: Livestock update (October 2026)
The October patch brings farmable cows and sheep, new foods, vendor bartering and a slower start for Oil Rig crude pumping.
Cows and sheep can be farmed for milk, cream, wool, beef and mutton.
New foods include Shepherd's Pie, Beef Pie and creamy or milky tea variants.
Vendors get a bartering mechanic.
Oil Rig crude pumping now takes 15 minutes before it starts producing.
The client downloads store assets from the backend and unloads them when unused, which lowers memory use. Horses also drop much less dung.
